Thermadoors

Choose from three types of Thermadoor: Dock Doors and Level Access Doors, offering insulation options for standard or critical temperature-control applications, and Sprint Doors which combine the benefits of traditional overhead and high-speed doors in a single system.

Roller Shutters

Roller Shutters provide secure protection to openings at reasonable cost. Space saving and simple installation; no overhead track or supports required. Suitable for all general industrial applications. Fire-resisting and insulated models available.

A choice of door types

Thermadoors and Roller Shutters offer versatile solutions for securing openings, each designed to meet specific operational needs. Thermadoors are ideal for environments requiring excellent thermal insulation and energy efficiency, making them perfect for temperature-sensitive applications such as cold storage and manufacturing facilities.

Roller Shutters provide robust security and are well-suited for general industrial use, with options for fire resistance and thermal insulation.

Thermadoors

Thermadoors are suitable for all industrial applications, including loading bays, with a variety of doors designed to meet specific requirements. Built with robust construction and heavy-duty hardware, they ensure a long, trouble-free working life in demanding conditions.

Multiple track configurations are available to accommodate different building layouts and headroom limitations. The doors come equipped with a range of safety features, such as finger protection at panel-to-panel joints.

Thermadoor warehouse and dock doors are accredited by Secured by Design (SBD), a police initiative for designing out crime. They also comply with EN 13241-1: 2003, are CE marked, with wind load testing conducted to EN 12424, and thermal resistance calculated according to EN 12428.

Roller Shutters

Roller shutter doors provide secure protection for openings at a reasonable cost. Designed for space-saving and simple installation, they require no overhead track or supports. Installation can be on either the inside or outside face of the opening.

The range includes the Rolashutter, a standard roller shutter; the Fire Rolashutter, a fire-resisting model; and the Insuroll, a thermally insulated roller shutter featuring an insulated lath design and curtain seals for maximum energy savings and quieter operation.

Thermadoor shutters meet the requirements of EN 13241-1: 2003 and are CE marked.

Thermadoor Construction

Door panels comprise a double skin of galvanised steel (0.5mm) insulated with polyurethane foam infill (40mm or 80mm) which bonds to the steel for additional strength. Panel edges are reinforced with strong galvanised steel providing a secure mounting for the wheel carriage and hinge assembly, giving improved stability and long-term operation.

Guide tracks are galvanised steel, purpose- made for each door installation. A patented connector between track sections ensures that the door moves smoothly, substantially reducing operating noise and wear. Steel lifting springs and cable are used to open the door and keep it open. Uprated springs can be fitted for frequent-use doors.

Finish: outer face polyester coated as standard in RAL colours. Inner face RAL 9002, off-white. Options: factory painted to any RAL colour on one or both sides. Small range of Plastisol  finishes. Thermadoors are supplied purpose-made to sizes required. More information can be found in our brochure:

Roller Shutter Construction

The shutter curtain is made of interlocking galvanised mild steel laths, each 75mm wide, available in thicknesses of 18, 20, or 22 SWG, depending on the shutter size. Die-cast zinc end locks are fitted to alternate laths, and the curtain winds onto a seamless mild steel roller barrel.

The barrel features self-lubricating phosphor bronze oil-impregnated bearings for shutters up to 5m x 5m; for larger sizes, enclosed ball bearings are used. The curtain operates within vertical steel channel guides secured to each side of the opening, with end stops fitted at the top.

Additional security features include shoot bolts on the inside, with chain-operated shutters secured by a chain keep that can be padlocked. Pass doors are typically fitted with a Yale-type lock, with other lock options available upon request. For more information, please refer to our brochure.
