Stertil Dock Products has announced that Andrew Georgiou, General Manager, will be leaving the business in June to take up a new role within the industry.
Andrew joined Stertil in July 2007 and has played a central role in shaping the company’s growth and position within the UK loading bay and industrial door sector over the past 19 years. Under his leadership, Stertil Dock Products’ turnover grew by nearly 200%, and the business has developed into a leading supplier of BIM-ready loading bay solutions, supporting major logistics, retail and industrial operators across the UK.
During his tenure, the business achieved significant expansion across its product range. In particular, vehicle restraint systems evolved from a relatively niche offering into a core product line, with hundreds of units now supplied annually to major UK distribution and logistics operators.
Andrew’s time at Stertil also saw the company successfully navigate a number of challenging market conditions, including the global financial crisis, periods of economic uncertainty, Brexit, and the COVID-19 pandemic, while continuing to invest in operations and customer support.
Prior to joining Stertil, Andrew built an extensive career at Sara Loading Bay Specialists, where he progressed from a regional sales role to Sales Manager and ultimately Chairman of the management team.
Alongside his commercial responsibilities, Andrew has made a significant contribution to the wider industry. He served as President of the Association of Loading and Elevating Equipment Manufacturers (ALEM) from 2011 to 2021 and represented ALEM as a Director at the British Materials Handling Federation (BMHF) until earlier this year.
Stertil Dock Products would like to thank Andrew for his leadership, commitment and contribution over nearly two decades and wishes him every success in his future role.
