Stertil is proud to announce significant advancements in sustainability within our Thermadoor industrial door range, as part of our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality products with environmentally friendly operations.
Sustainable Packaging
In line with Stertil's dedication to sustainability, we've made a positive change in our packaging approach. We've transitioned from polystyrene to honeycomb cardboard, a fully recyclable, biodegradable, and renewable material. This sustainable alternative maintains the same excellent shock absorption and sturdiness, ensuring that our products continue to receive the high level of protection our customers expect.
By adopting this eco-friendly packaging, Stertil reduces its environmental footprint while delivering the exceptional quality associated with the Thermadoor range, widely used for industrial applications such as dock doors and level access doors.
Circular Innovation and Recycling
Stertil is also embracing circular innovation through the recycling of sandwich panels used in our Thermadoor industrial doors. Through our supply-chain, we are collaborating with InSus, a specialist recycling company who collect and repurpose the residual waste from sandwich panels. These materials are processed into new PIR (polyisocyanurate) sheeting, ensuring that valuable resources are reused and kept within the production cycle.
This innovative recycling process captures and neutralises harmful propellants, such as CFCs and pentane, and reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 1,500,000 tonnes annually. The insulation materials produced from this recycling process are also fully recyclable at the end of their life.
A Greener Future with Stertil
